Kirk Park Beach
Very popular ocean beach at the eastern end of town near the entrance to Montauk Village. This beach is also commonly referred to as Umbrella Beach or IGA Beach because it is located near the Montauk IGA grocery store. Lifeguards are on duty during the summer season from 10am - 5pm. EH Town beach parking lot (EH Town permit required). No overnight camping allowed. 4x4 beach driving by EH Town permit only. Public restrooms located in parking lot.

Ditch Plains Beach
Perhaps the most famous surfing (and now Stand-Up Paddleboarding, aka. SUP) spots on Long Island, Ditch Plains Beach attracts surfers and beachgoers from all over the East Coast... so grab your long board & start paddling. Lifeguards are on duty from 10am - 5pm during the summer season. EH Town beach parking lot (EH Town permit required). No overnight camping allowed. 4x4 beach driving by EH Town permit only. Hither Hills State Park
Located at the western border of Montauk, on miles and miles of uninterrupted white sandy beach perfect for sun bathing and swimming, the park offers Montauk's only public campgrounds which allow tent camping as well as RV camping. A small convenience store with the basic necessities is opened during the summer season. The park has beautiful picnic areas in green rolling hills and well marked hiking & biking trails through hundreds of acres of woodlands. Lifeguards on duty during summer season. Restrooms with showers. Open: 8am-4pm Daily

Gin Beach
Gin Beach is a wide opened beach stretching for miles eastward, through the County Parks to Shagwong Point. This is the perfect place to take a swim in the calm waters of Block Island Sound (which is typically much calmer than the ocean.) There are no houses or businesses on this stretch of beach, which is located on the eastern side of the Montauk Harbor Inlet. This beach is the only one in Montauk with a roped off protected swimming area. Lifeguards are on duty from 10am to 5pm. Swimming in unprotected areas is prohibited. EH Town beach parking lot (EH Town permit required). No overnight camping allowed on Town Beaches, but RV camping is allowed on Theodore Roosevelt County Park section of the beach by special permit. No open fires allowed (BBQ grills OK). 4x4 beach driving by EH Town permit only. Public restrooms with showers in parking lot.
