New York State Recreational Marine Fishing Registry
Starting January 1, 2012, anglers must enroll in the annual no-fee recreational marine fishing registry before going saltwater fishing. You may register online and print a receipt, then a permit will be mailed to you (usually within a few weeks) or you may obtain one at a NY State license-issuing agent. Please note: for the marine registry, you will not need a credit card and you will not be charged a fee.
